Review
This Gary Marshall film is set in sunny California centering around multiple couples and singles around Valentine's Day. This movie set around Valentine's Day has it all, the happily in love couples, the cheaters, the ballers, young love, old love, and the promising ones. However Gary Marshall's film is terribly predictable. You could probably call every shot, every break up and every kiss. While some of the characters individually seem promising, the film is highly cliche.

My Personal Take
**Fun Fact: Gary Marshall is the director of "Pretty Woman" and "Princess Diaries."
(Just a fun personal observation I wanted to share with you guys.)
So I noticed that Gary Marshall has a method to his madness. Although the plots for his recent star studded films, "Valentine's Day" and "New Years Eve" are highly predictable, he tries to cast stars in roles that are atypical to how they are usually portrayed. For example, in "New Years Eve" Ashton Kutcher who in real life is married to a cougar, always dates someone young in his movies. He always puts the best looking person with the least unexpected person, and anyone who's previously starred in a romantic comedy usually gets their heart broken. In this film Taylor Swift plays a bit of a parody of herself seeing that her character is a love sick dumb blonde, -- (not that I don't love Taylor Swift I do)--and Emma Roberts who normally has a squeaky clean reputation plots to give away her virginity to her boyfriend. Just thought those little ironic details were interesting.
