This is THE cult movie of the 21st century. Every girl who's ever been to high school or even if you've been homeschooled you should watch. The way Janis describes everyone in high school is HI-larious! But true. To review this movie and highlight the laugh out loud moments I'm going to list and review the movie by favorite scenes. Favorite scene 1) when Damien lends Cady a pink shirt for "Plastic Mondays."  Favorite scene 2) The sex ed class at the very beginning best definition of hypocrisy I've ever heard. Our main character Cady is a homeschooler from Africa just learning the ropes of high school until she meets Regina George. Regina George: is a horror with the voice of an angel. So Cady and her friends Janis and Damien make a pact to sabotage her.

Favorite scene 3) Cady's first observation about Halloween an excuse for girls to dress like slut is also true.
Favorite scene 4) Regina's "cool mom." The best Laugh Out Loud moment is definitely when Janis and Cady try to sabotage Regina by cutting her shirt. Also look out for the comedic surprise of the winter talent show. It makes your grade 8 sister's play sound like Yo Yo Ma. Favorite scene 5) The hoax robbery to try and expose Regina to Aaron Samuels.

Rachel McAdams is fantastic in this box office hit. It actually took me a few years to connect the dots between Regina George and Allie Hamilton (Notebook). She's one of the few actresses who has shined brightly from the start and gone from best teen flick to classic comedy, (Wedding Crashers), to romance, (Time Travelers Wife and The Notebook) to Academy Award nominated Woody Allen flick, Midnight in Paris. Amanda Seyfried also shone brightly and although she took a bit of hiatus after this movie she came back with a bang as Hollywood's newest it girl. This is definitely one of the few teen movies that has been a true slice of comedy in the past 10 years. The bar is still set high for a new cult status.
